This Year Set to Be Worse than Usual for Allergies

Hey, remember when we told you last week that Southwest Florida isn’t that bad for allergy sufferers? Well, let’s add a caveat onto that. From the looks of it, this year is going to be bad for just about everyone.

Allergists are pointing to three factors that project to make allergy season worse than usual: Tree pollen is starting earlier; grass will last longer; and ragweed will grow quickly.

Experts say this is likely being caused by climate change. Higher temperatures and more rain are the perfect incubator for that pesky pollen.
