Fans of Fort Myers-based artist Marcus Jansen can now rent or purchase the new documentary film Examine and Report that traces his career and the thought-provoking themes and questions he poses in his art.
Examine and Report explores the factors that influence Jansen’s work, including his military service, and his effort to explore truth through art. It also tells of the artist’s hard-fought breakthrough into the art “establishment” after his early years selling on a New York City street corner.
The film was produced by Emmy-winning documentarian John Scoular, a Naples resident, who also recently produced Paradise Reef about Collier County’s pioneering artificial reef project.
