Bone Hook Brewery Now Open in North Naples

We’re falling for the sleek taproom and multiple early brews.

BY December 19, 2016

Riding the tide of our swelling craft brewery scene, Naples just got a brand new hangout for home-batched suds on Immokalee Road. Bone Hook Brewing Co. is the third microbrewpub in town, joining RipTide Brewing Company and the original entrant, Naples Beach Brewery, plus a dozen or so spots in Lee County.

The inviting taproom is retrofitted with a laid-back, industrial-agriculture-chic vibe. It’s set to quickly become a go-to place after work or on the weekends. Not only are there 20 brews on tap to start along with wines by the glass, but—being that it’s in the new Creekside Corners shopping center—you can have your flight of beers and order food from any neighboring place and have it served to you at the bar lickety-split. (Maybe some chicken pad thai from Komoon with your pilsner, or BurgerFi’s CEO with an IPA?).

The chill vibe and ambience is a subtle nod to our Florida surroundings (the name itself is after an ancient type of tackle used to catch everything from tarpon to alligators to wild turkeys)—and it is backed up by some pretty high-tech equipment. The three local guys who started it, John English, David Genson and Jason Vogel, are all engineers and self-styled beer geeks who have been perfecting their recipes for years. Wherever you kick back, each seat holds an open view into where the magic happens: a laboratory anchored by a 465-gallon three-vessel steam-fired machine, six fermentation tanks and equipment for doing water analysis, microbiological screenings, yeast propagation and more. The tools aid in a quest for consistency and are unique in this corner of Florida.
