Retired life is still going well for many Floridians.

The annual Gallup-Healthways well-being rankings of all 50 states put Florida 11th on the list. The survey of more than 93,000 adults ages 55 and up asks about life on five fronts: purpose in life, social support, financial stability, community likability and physical health. Florida finished just behind South Dakota (yes, South Dakota) to place outside the top 10. Hawaii, no real surprise there, finished in the top spot for the second year in a row.

Florida residents ranked their purpose, social support and physical health fairly high. Dragging down the score was a below-average rank on financial stability.

This report is an extension of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Survey, which earlier this year named Naples as the happiest place in America.
