Those who exercise know it: Working out can make you feel better. Now, there’s more evidence to support it.

A study in Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews reviewed previous research about people pre- and post-workout. On the whole, it found that exercise helped increase the level of hormones that contribute to brain health. And, it also helped reduce inflammation.

The review is only another step toward the conclusion that exercise is good for the brain, but it follows the path of other studies that have shown how working out can help prevent depression and promote brain health overall.
