What to Wear: Project HELP's Chocolate Extravaganza

BY January 3, 2018

Love chocolate? Love dressing up for events? If so, the 21st Annual Chocolate Extravaganza—held Jan. 20 at Hodges University to benefit Project HELP—could be your perfect evening out. If you’re not sure about the dressing-up bit, know that the organizers are fine with guests wearing business-casual attire. But when you have the option of donning “Rockin’ Through the Decades” costume, why not go for it? Here are some ideas to evoke your decade of choice. Fifties: a fitted, boatneck top paired with a full skirt (extra points for a poodle motif). Sixties: shift-style mini dress (think black/white checkerboard, or colorful Pucci-type print) with Mary Janes or Go-Go boots. Seventies: halter neck tops, bell-bottom pants, jumpsuits and an excess of glitter. Eighties: a short, flippy tulle skirt worn with leggings or black fishnet hose; big, big hair; and, please, don’t forget the legwarmers.
