DESCRIPTION:<p>\n	&ldquo\;Shake Your Booty&rdquo\; with perennial pop favor
ites KC &amp\; The Sunshine Band at Seminole Casino Immokalee on Saturday\
 , July 20\, 2013 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday\, June 10.</p>\n<p>\n
KC &amp\; The Sunshine Band is still as widely popular today as they were
when they first danced onto the music scene nearly 40 years ago. Harry Wa
yne Casey &ndash\; &ldquo\;KC\,&rdquo\; for short &ndash\; developed a uni
que fusion of R&amp\;B and funk\, with a hint of a Latin percussion groove
\, yielding an impressive string of hits like &ldquo\;Get Down Tonight\,&r
 dquo\; &ldquo\;That&rsquo\;s The Way (I Like It)\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Do You
Wanna Go Party&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Shake Your Booty.&rdquo\; With sales of
over 100 million records\, nine Grammy nominations\, three Grammy Awards
and an American Music Award\, KC &amp\; The Sunshine Band was one of the m
ost progressive bands of the &lsquo\;70s and is credited with changing the
  sound of modern pop music.</p>\n<p>\n	&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	Miami&rsquo\;s o
wn Harry Wayne Casey (KC)\, started working in the music business at age 1
7\, performing menial tasks around the T.K. Records/Studio complex in his
hometown. Together with Richard Finch\, a budding studio engineer prodigy
at TK Records\, they formed KC &amp\; The Sunshine Band in the early 1970s
.</p>\n<p>\n	Their first record\, <em>Blow Your Whistle</em>\, made the to
p 15 on the R&amp\;B chart. With the release of the self-titled triple pla
tinum second album in 1975 came the group&#39\;s first major US hits with
 &quot\;Get Down Tonight\,&quot\; &quot\;That&#39\;s the Way (I Like It)\,&
 quot\; &ldquo\;Boogie Shoes&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Rock Your Baby.&rdquo\; KC
&amp\; The Sunshine Band became the first act to score four #1 pop single
s in one 12-month period since the Beatles in 1964. Three of those singles
  crossed over to become #1 R&amp\;B\, as well. The 1976 album\, <em>Part 3
</em>\, also went triple platinum and yielded the #1 singles &quot\;I&#39\
;m Your Boogie Man\,&quot\; &quot\;(Shake\, Shake\, Shake) Shake Your Boot
 y&quot\; and &quot\;Keep It Comin&#39\; Love.&quot\;</p>\n<p>\n	The band&r
squo\;s momentum continued when &ldquo\;Boogie Shoes&rdquo\; was included
 on the <em>Saturday Night Fever</em> soundtrack. &ldquo\;Please Don&rsquo\
 ;t Go&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Yes\, I&rsquo\;m Ready&rdquo\;\, a duet with hig
h school friend Teri DeSario\, also became favorites. KC returned to the c
harts in 1983 with &quot\;Give It Up&quot\;\, which also hit #1 in the UK.
</p>\n<p>\n	KC won a songwriting Grammy in 1976 for best R&amp\;B song for
&ldquo\;Where is the Love&rdquo\; which was recorded by Betty Wright. He
also received Grammy Awards for Album of the Year\, as well as Producer of
the Year in 1978 for his work on the <em>Saturday Night Fever</em> soundt
 rack.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	In 1995\, he recorded <em>Get Down Live</em>\, a c
oncert album that was gleaned from his performances in Los Angeles\, New Y
 ork\, Chicago\, Peru and Melbourne\, Australia. KC&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;The Be
st of KC and The Sunshine Band&rdquo\; went gold in 1999. In 2001\, KC rel
eased an album of all-new material entitled <em>I&rsquo\;ll Be There For Y
ou</em>.&nbsp\; Proceeds from the title song\, released as a single\, were
donated to the September 11 relief effort.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	In 2002 KC r
eceived the coveted Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame\, where Dick Clark
and music producer Michael Lloyd turned out to honor him. That same year\,
<em>That&rsquo\;s The Way I Like It &ndash\; The Harry Wayne Casey Story<
/em> was published.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	Since then\, the band has enjoyed a
surge in popularity. Their music has been featured in over 75 movies\, vid
eo games\, sporting events and TV shows including <em>Desperate Housewives
 </em>\, <em>American Idol</em> and <em>Dancing With The Stars</em>. Music
acts like White Zombie\, Baha Men and Beyonc&eacute\; Knowles have covered
his music. Their infectious grooves and bass lines have been sampled by R
 . Kelly\, Snoop Dogg and Trick Daddy\, to name a few.</p>\n<p>\n	Advance t
ickets start at $30 and are available at the Casino Cage or by calling 1-8
00-218-0007. Day of show tickets are $35.</p>\n\n\n506 South 1 Street\nImm
