It’s easy to think of Florida as the land of sun and snowbirds, but what about before the railways, cars and airplanes that connected the two? More than 100 historical reenactors and craft workers descend upon the Collier County Museum this weekend for the annual Old Florida Festival, where they’ll give a glimpse into life on the land way back when. Meet the likes of a Seminole family, Calusa Indian, Civil War soldier, Spanish conquistador and “cracker cowboy” among musket firing, telegraph operation, handmade items and live music covering the Stone Age on. Runs Saturday and Sunday.
