The Baker Museum is going both monumental-big and palm-of-the-hand-small with its Origami in the Garden exhibit, a stunning sculptural display in partnership with Naples Botanical Garden. Pieces like 8.5-foot-tall Stone Paper Scissors are the works of New Mexico artist Kevin Box and his wife, Jennifer, who were inspired to re-imagine the art of origami in the more lasting materials of steel, bronze, aluminum and more. Opening Oct. 19 and staying the course of season through April 23, Origami will wow with five sculptures of varying size across The Baker Museum and Artis—Naples campus, as well as 40 unfolded pieces of paper that served as the beautiful beginnings for corresponding works of art. Close to 30 more works will take up residence among the flora of Naples Botanical Garden beginning Dec. 3.
