Naples Named One of Nation’s Best Cities

Condé Nast Traveler readers gave high marks to Southwest Florida.

The rest of the country seems to be catching on to what we here have known for a while. Naples is a great place.

The accolades keep rolling in, this time from the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, who put Naples eighth on their list of best big cities in America. Yes, that seems odd to see Naples alongside Boston, Chicago and New York. (We’re guessing the editors considered the population of Collier County large enough to qualify Naples as a “major metropolitan area.”) But, hey, good to know we hold our own against the big boys.

In our area, the readers also named Sarasota and Key West as two of the best small cities in the country.
