More than 800 people attended The Shelter for Abused Women & Children’s 18th Annual Mending Broken Hearts with Hope Luncheon, Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, FL. The event included a two-day designer boutique that was open to the public. Special speaker was foreign policy reporter and women’s rights activist Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, author of “Ashley’s War: The Untold Story of a Team of Women Soldiers on the Special Ops Battlefield” and “The Dressmaker of Khair Khana.” Mana Holtz, The Shelter’s first Trustee Chair, was honored with the Beau Venturi Peace Award.
