If you've retired to Naples, you're in the right place.
SmartAsset put Naples at the top of the list when it comes to the best places to retire in the United States. The study rated cities by their tax friendliness, recreational and social opportunities for seniors, and availability of medical care. In fact, Naples received a score of 100 on SmartAsset's Best Places to Retire Index, putting considerable distance between it and the competition. Cumming, Georgia, came in second place. Two other Florida cities—North Port Richey and Orange Park—cracked the top 10. See the full interactive map here.
Not to brag too much, but this is the third year in a row Naples has topped the SmartAsset list. OK, fine, we'll brag a little more. Recently, Naples has also been named best beach town, happiest and healthiest community (twice), a top destination for adventure and a top Southern food town. Oh, and another study recently named Naples the best place to retire, too.
