Preferred Travel of Naples, along with McKenney Home Care, hosted an Afternoon of ‘Advanced Style’ on January 31 at Grey Oaks Country Club. The special guest speakers were Ari Seth Cohen and Debra Rapoport.
Ari Seth Cohen is a world renowned author and fashion photographer and Debra Rapoport is a well-known New York fashionista. Cohen shared that his grandmother was his fashion inspiration from an early age while Rapoport spoke about not being afraid to stand out in a crowd. Both spoke to the event guests about being bold and beautiful no matter what age.
Jennifer Dolan, another one of Cohen’s mature models, also spoke of her business career and how fashion played an important part of her life. Andrea Clark Brown, Owner and Curator of UP Art and Design Gallery, served as the event’s emcee which celebrated the unique and sophisticated style of the mature woman.
Proceeds raised from the event by McKenney Home Care and Preferred Travel of Naples totaled $5,875 and will benefit the food bank at the Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) Senior Center of Southwest Florida. JFCS offers a wide array of human services for all ages including mental health counseling, caregiver and bereavement support groups, a Men’s Club for men with early-stage dementia, case management, financial assistance, a food pantry and more. The Senior Center serves adults 60 years of age and older and helps them maintain a healthy, satisfying quality of life by providing services and activities in a nurturing environment.
