Anyone who still insists Southwest Florida is a cultural wasteland, we have two things to say:
1. Shame on you.
2. Look at today’s ticket sales report by the music industry group Pollstar.
Fort Myers’ own Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall was No. 12 on the list of Top 50 Theater Venues for the first quarter of 2015. Pollstar monitors most national performance venues and a growing number of international theaters, clubs and arenas.
“We’re thankful to the Southwest Florida community for their continuing support, which enables us to place high on this prestigious list,” says Scott Saxon, general manager. “It is a great achievement for a market our size to rank among the top in the world. The ranking underscores our belief that we have something for everyone at the Hall and strive to be the premier venue for live entertainment in southwest Florida.”
Pollstar been supplying in-depth information to every professional concert promoter, booking agent, artist manager, facility executive and other entity involved in the live entertainment business for 30 years, according to a news release from the arts hall.
