In the year it has been open, Society has quickly made its late-night priorities known: Keeping up with the hard-partying Joneses from the Miamis, New Yorks and LAs of the world, the dining room and rooftop bar are not strangers to bottle service, black lights and in-house pyrotechnics.
Now, Sunday Fundays have made their debut. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., it’s brunching as usual, with plates such as truffled grilled cheese, surf and turf benedict, sushi, peanut butter-vanilla pancakes and more. But after that, the lights dim, a DJ takes his place, and the restaurant transforms into a raucous, boozy house party until dinner starts at 6 p.m.
The same food offerings continue, along with bottomless cocktails that are sold in 60-minute increments for $24.95. Those range from what you’d expect (mimosas and bloody marys) to some seriously cool libations, like maple-bourbon old fashioneds, a whimsical Frosted Flakes-infused aged rum and espresso-cream number, and a sangria that begs a group effort with a glass the size of a bowling ball. Fog sprayers, Champagne sparklers and servers in Day of the Dead garb complete the hair of the dog experience, helping those who want to squeeze every last wild drop of fun from the weekend.
