What if you could curb your craving for sugar? Do you think you’d do it?
In the future, it might be a possibility. A study in Cell Metabolism found that a hormone produced in the liver of mice could subside their taste for simple sugars. The more of the hormone that was produced, the less sugar the mice ate. Yes, it’s just mice. But a similar response could happen in humans. If so, it could work wonders for people with diabetes or obesity. Or, it could be used to promote healthier eating.
