Design Trends: Going Coastal

Southwest Florida's take on Southern means bright and beachy.

I’ve been in love with this $500 turtle ottoman since my first visit to Southern Design Living in Placida (a little north of the bridge to Boca Grande). Unfortunately, I also like the glass table it would have to replace in my family room. The store specializes in coastal furniture and accents for the home, including bright Caribbean-blue pillows and artwork emblazoned with the names of local Charlotte and northern Lee County destinations, including Gasparilla Island, Manasota Key and Palm Island.
