We all know fitness is good for your body. But more studies are showing it’s good for your mind, as well.
A study in Neurology found that people who didn’t exercise in middle age tended to have smaller brains two decades later than those with better physical fitness. Brain atrophy can be related to an increased risk in dementia.
"The broad message is that health and lifestyle choices that you make throughout your life may have consequences many years later," said study author Nicole Spartano of Boston University.
