Geary031_CrouseResidence-FINAL1
Richard Geary makes marble float by extending the freestanding island’s gravity-defying Calacatta marble past the cabinetry edge before plunging into a waterfall. Even the breakfast bar in this private residence has a cantilevered marble top. Both are fashioned from sequentially matched teak and feature custom-made hardware and book-matched Calacatta tops. Geary created the teak Z stool with stainless steel foot pegs. Four Cab stools by Mario Bellini for Cassina cozy up to the breakfast bar under Pablo LED pendants. The kitchen floor’s 40-square-inch Roman basalt tiled floors melds into adjoining polished concrete.
