2017-2018 Season: George Washington's Teeth
George Washington's Teeth by Mark St. Germain
The title of Florida Repertory Theatre’s latest world premiere, George Washington’s Teeth, certainly piqued our interest. What about them? Well, turns out, in this play, the first U.S. president’s dentures are at the center of a battle between the floundering, women-run historical society and all-male city council of a sleepy New England town. Playing April 24 through May 13, the “heartfelt and historic” comedy written by Mark St. Germain (author of Camping with Henry and Tom and Best of Enemies) and starring Carrie Lund (associate producer of Florida Rep) does sound like a recipe for some welcome laughs.
