Fort Myers Beach Named One of the Best Beaches in the Country

A not so well-kept secret: Our little stretch of the Gulfshore has some of the country's best beaches. The TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Awards ranked Fort Myers Beach as the 14th best beach in the U.S., behind a slew of other Florida locales. (Clearwater Beach and Siesta Key came in first and second, respectively.)
But that was it, as far as Southwest Florida is concerned. No Barefoot Beach. No Clam Pass. Does Fort Myers Beach really have the best stretch of sand in Southwest Florida?
