Kids’ Free Workshop at The Home Depot of Naples
Fasten those tiny tool belts for this month’s installment of The Home Depot’s child-friendly activities, where youngsters are invited to the Pine Ridge Road location to build scarecrow napkin holders. Kiddos get orange aprons and commemorative pins, in addition to their DIY keepsake. Workshops take place on the first Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and are geared toward children ages 5 to 12.

Florida Panther Festival at Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens
Say hello to the zoo’s resident panther during this family-friendly outing, where you’ll learn about the big cats and other native species, like bears coyotes, and the invasive Burmese python, during one-on-one chats with wildlife experts. Bonus: November 5th is Collier County Appreciation day at the Naples Zoo, so residents get in free. The event runs from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

Día de los Muertos Celebration at Naples Botanical Gardens
Naples Botanical Garden continues its “Mexico: A Celebration of Plants & Culture” season, with this Day of the Dead festival. Kids delight at the La Calavera Catrina installation, with large-scale skeleton sculptures, along with live Latin music by Havy Rodriguez. During the event, commemorate lost loved ones by adding their names to a butterfly memory wall.

Artis–Naples invites the whole family to their free Fall Community Day, complete hands-on activities with local artists, face painting, and musical performances in the Baker Museum from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Exploration Insect!: Insect Movement and Senses Class at Gore Nature Center, Naples
Aspiring environmentalists can dive into the world of entomology during this class hosted by the Bridge to Nature team at Gore Nature Center, which is situated on 180 acres of Floridian forests. Kids ages 6 to 11 learn about insects and have fun inventing a “super bug,” an imaginary insect that has yet to be discovered.

C’MON On Ice, Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples
Explore this inaugural winter wonderland exhibit—no mittens or scarves necessary! Kids of all ages are invited to glide across the “ice” rink (in socks), enjoy Santa’s workshop and visit the gingerbread village. The museum opens for extended hours on select nights during the exhibition, including November 19, 25 and 26.

4th Annual Rookery Bay Classic Car Show
Rev up your engines and cruise on over to Rookery Bay’s fourth-annual car show at Florida Southwestern State College. Beginning at 9 a.m., car fanatics can admire roughly 100 classic, antique and muscle cars, and enjoy activities, food trucks and entertainment.

On display is the From the Great Lakes to the Sunshine State: Exploring the History of U.S. 41 exhibit, where kids can learn about the historic road, connecting the Midwest and Southwest Florida. Crafts and themed games await your pit crew during this superb trip, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
