The Blue Zones Project has started to catch on in a big way locally, and next week the man behind the concept is coming to speak in Southwest Florida.
The Blue Zones Project Co-founder Dan Buettner will be sharing the secrets to a long, happy life at a special guest appearance at a National Walking Day event. The event starts at 6 p.m. on April 16 at Alico Arena and is hosted by The Blue Zones Project-Southwest Florida. After the talk, participants can celebrate National Walking Day (which was actually April 4—but, hey, every day should be a walking day, in our opinion) by taking a short stroll. Attendees also get a free Blue Zones T-shirt, healthy food samples and the chance to win prizes.
Buettner frequently visits Southwest Florida and spoke to us recently about why Naples frequently gets called the happiest city in the country.
