Clive Daniel Home (CDH) ditched the dark colors of an Ibis Cove estate for a bold contemporary style that paired perfectly with summer. “This 35-year-old house was seriously outdated with a Mediterranean-inspired interior design,” says Kris Kolar, vice president of merchandising and interior design at CDH. “The new owners wanted the designer to totally ‘de-Tuscanize’ the entire home.” White glass tile flooring and ceilings made for a new glossy backdrop, enhanced by vibrant pops of color throughout. “This was in perfect contrast with greens in the outdoor areas,” Kolar says. Reflective materials opened up the new kitchen, which was made ultra-modern with a curved island and matching drop ceiling, concealed appliances, a backsplash with two different materials and a dramatic wine room enclosed with 10-foot-high glass doors.

The 3,000-square-foot outdoor space now features an expanded area for entertaining with added green turf, multiple lounge chairs and oversize accents. “In this special setting, the outdoor area is in total synchrony with the indoors,” Kolar adds. CDH collaborated with Sater Design Collection, Windham Studio Inc. and Green Mountain Builders on the $850,000 remodel, which took 18 months to complete.
