A nice side effect of exercise: It makes you happy. Studies have shown that working out can give you an attitude boost beyond the self-satisfaction that you’re taking care of your body. Now, a new study from the University of Michigan shows that just 10 minutes of exercise are enough to show a significant difference in mood. The type of exercise didn’t really matter, either. Just being active for that long was enough to get those endorphins going.
