The Look: Adding Panache

Throughout history, significant and powerful women (and men) have adorned their wrists and arms with cuff-style bracelets. Egyptian queens wore gold cuffs decorated with precious stones; in ancient China, elaborately carved jade versions were highly valued; even the fictional Wonder Woman sported cuffs in the form of her “Bracelets of Submission.” This season, cuffs (characterized as rigid, open bracelets) and bangles (rigid and circular) are making a comeback.
