From our lucky position as a wine and food mecca, we do get our fair share of visiting luminaries gracing our shores from Tom Colicchio to Daniel Boulud. But it’s not nearly as common that when a pedigreed chef comes to town that anybody can have a taste of his or her food—unless you’re willing to spend upwards of $1,000 or are among the chosen ones at an invite-only event.
This month, however, chef Pasquale Palamaro of Indaco, a one-star Michelin restaurant housed in the luxurious Albergo Regina Isabella resort on the Italian island of Ischia near Capri, will be taking over the kitchen at Sea Salt on Third Street South for a four-course dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The one-night-only affair is a stop on his U.S. tour, and the menu is thoroughly of Palamaro’s planning, with dishes such as delicate stuffed fagottelli pillows in carbonara with red prawns.
Catch him—and his cutting-edge European haute gastronomy—while you can. Tickets are $90 per person, with the option of adding wine for $25. Reservations can be made by calling (239) 434-7258.
