The Naples Senior Center will be getting a new home. The organization is embarking on “A New Era for Seniors,” a $15 million campaign that will establish a much-needed new facility. In the five years since opening its doors, the organization has outgrown its current leased building in North Naples.
A $5 million lead gift by local philanthropists Patty and Jay Baker kicked off the campaign.
The organization provides a variety of services to Southwest Florida seniors, including social programs, dementia respite groups, arts and crafts classes, and counseling services. Membership has increased from 80 to more than 1,600 members, and the number of dementia respite groups has increased from one to eight.
