So we couldn’t go off to the races, like I had hoped (and predicted in our May 2017 issue) for The Bevy—as it was still under construction Kentucky Derby weekend. But it, along with some other prime restaurants rearing to make their debuts, are in the final stretches of installing vents, selecting votives and taste-testing Viogniers before opening.

Here is a quick rundown on where they stand—so you can be among the first wave of people to rush in.

Location: Naples, near Third Street South

Timeline: end of May or early June

• The Cave Bistro & Wine Bar

Location: North Naples, Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt

Timeline: late June or early July

• Divieto Ristorante

Location: Estero, Coconut Point

Timeline: early June

• Izzy’s Fish & Oyster

Location: Fort Myers, River District

Timeline: end of May or early June

• Le Moulin Bakery & Bistro

Location: downtown Naples, on U.S. 41

• Timeless – an MHK Eatery
