The latest truly special treat in the Naples shoulder season is a show-stopping night at The French on Wednesday, May 30.
A five-course feast from chef Vincenzo Betulia will be paired with no less than seven vintages from award-winning winemakers Grace and Ken Evenstad (who happen to be Naples locals).
Betulia’s cuisine is tailor-made to complement their style of winemaking. In 2015, they expanded on their line of Domaine Serene Pinots and Chardonnays produced in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, which had already received honors from top United States critics, such as Wine Spectator, by buying a historic house in Burgundy, Château de la Crée. That property features seven Premier Cru blocks with a 2:1 ratio of Pinot Noir to Chardonnay, and two wines produced there will be served on May 30, the 2013 Château de la Crée Santenay Premier Cru Beaurepaire and the 2013 Château de la Crée Santenay Premier Cru Gravières.
Seats are $125, including all wine and food, but excluding tax and tip. For more information and to reserve, contact The French at (239) 315-4019.
