Americans are about as stressed as they’ve ever been. The APA’s Stress in America survey has been collecting data about stress levels in this country for about a decade. This year is the first time that it’s gone up.
Americans rated themselves an a scale of 1-10. We’re at a 5.1 now. Last August, it was at 4.8.
We’re worried about a bunch of things, but the biggest one is the election. A majority (52 percent) of Americans claimed the election as a major source of stress in their lives.
