Sparkling water views and white sandy beaches draw top real estate prices in Southwest Florida. Homes that have luxurious backyard spaces accented with lavish swimming pools, meticulous landscapes and upscale amenities are commonplace among estates that have multimillion-dollar price tags. The top real estate price in the area during the past year was a $33.5 million beachfront lot at 1680 Gulfshore Blvd. Our lists below focus on homes that were sold from Nov. 1, 2013, through Oct. 1, 2014.
In Collier County during that time period, four of the five top sales are within the prestigious Port Royal neighborhood. The top home price was $17.127 million for the home at 1100 Spyglass Lane in Port Royal. Multiple lanais, a private dock and easy Gulf access make this five- bedroom, eight-bathroom home a valuable property.
In Lee County, a $6.6 million waterfront estate on the island of Boca Grande was the county’s leading home sale. Built in 1998, this house is 6,938 square feet with four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.
These lists reflect sales as recorded by the MLS, in addition to private home sales listed by Collier and Lee counties. MLS information was provided courtesy of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
