Few fashion trends evoke such polar opposite views as prints. Discussion around prints falls squarely into the “love ’em or hate ’em” debate. Designers have clearly been inspired by a wellspring of references as diverse as fruits, animals, maps and stars; there are bright, childlike novelty prints and softly hued designs evoking vintage travel posters. If you love prints, you’ll find this season’s offbeat offerings a lot of fun; and, after all, shouldn’t fun be a part of summer fashion?
