This world is booming with technology, and one of the best outcomes of that is you can now do virtually everything on your cellphone.
Want to learn a new language? Practice on your phone.
Want to pay a bill? Pay it on your phone.
Want to research a topic? Do it on your phone.
Yet, as time progress, it seems as if the cellphone is replacing the self-control of a human and becoming our dictator.
We wake up and the first thing we have to do is check emails or surf social media.
We hear the notification ringtone and stop whatever we are doing to see what’s up on our phone.
According to Bhali Gill, psychologist and contributor to Forbes, there are some steps to help you take control of your phone addiction. (Seriously, cellphone addiction is a real thing.)
1. Go offline at night. Go to sleep.
2. Do not check your phone as soon as you wake up.
3. Do run over as soon as a notification kicks in.
4. Put the phone down.
Don’t let your phone take over your life. Enjoy the small things of life instead of having your eyes plastered to the screen. Now, if you're reading this on your phone, put your phone away.
