A couple hours on the treadmill could add years to your life. Literally.
A study published in Progress in Cardiovascular Disease analyzed data from a study that looked at the connection between mortality and exercise. One of the big findings: Jogging could reduce the risk of premature death by as much as 40 percent. That’s even considering if the subject had a history of smoking or health issues like obesity. Getting even more specific, the researchers found that every hour of running added another seven hours of life expectancy. Not a bad deal.
