June 20 is time to honor dear old dad, and what better way than a family meal in one of our local restaurants? As added incentive, some of them prepare special dad-designed menus or treat fathers to complimentary perks.
A few of the restaurants are offering special menus for the entire weekend or an extended period. Naples’ Barbatella Spirited Italian Trattoria features a weekend-long black angus bone-in cowboy steak with demi-glace for $65. (Due to high demand, call early for reservations.) Lamoraga, which is closed on Sundays, is serving a steak dinner special, including a 14-ounce grilled New York strip steak with French fries for $19, on Friday and Saturday. (Add on truffle risotto or lobster mashed potatoes for $8.) Starting June 15 and running through the holiday, Chop’s City Grill Naples hosts The Classics six-course menu with a 40-ounce porterhouse and all your steakhouse favorites, priced at $150 per person. (Splurge on the wine-pairing option for an additional $125). Another riff on the steak theme, Dorona Modern Italian Steakhouse showcases five different grilled meats on its Carnivoro Platter: dry-aged beef, Wagyu beef, venison and elk. Pricing starts at $49 for one diner and includes burrata whipped mashed potatoes. The special is available for dinner only on June 18 and 19 (closed Sunday).
Lunch at Hogfish Harry’s, served until 4 p.m., features Crispy Cornflake Black Grouper on brioche for $19. Starting at 4 p.m., there’s prime short ribs with rock shrimp, $35. All day, enjoy Butterscotch Budino with chocolate ganache and compressed strawberry dessert, $10. One of the chef 's master dishes, Maine Lobster Gratin Masala headlines the Father’s Day menu at Naples’ 21 Spices by Chef Asif—1.5 pounds. of cold-water lobster with masala au gratin and truffle naan on the side. Sea Salt Naples appeals to meat-loving dads with a 14-ounce cold-smoked prime rib and bourbon gravy fries for $52. With two locations in Fort Myers, The Standard Restaurant brings Father’s Day specials to its famous brunch: honey-chipotle chicken and waffles, bacon waffle with caramel sauce and meatlovers’ quiche with ham, bacon and sausage. On Sanibel Island, 400 Rabbits kicks off its new Sunday brunch on Father’s Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The entrée menu includes Mexican-inspired dishes such as huevos rancheros and Mexican fried rice, plus baked French toast and other American breakfast specialties.
Pops collects perks for dining at these two restaurants on his big day. Zen Asian BBQ in North Naples treats all fathers to a complimentary dessert. Choose from tempura cheesecake or green tea creme brulée. The Local throws in a complimentary craft beer along with the purchase of Dad’s entree.
