The thick-soled loafer is a fashion hit this season. And while one of its major benefits is the comfort factor, the trade-off for such wearability is that they don’t work effortlessly with everything, so some thoughtful pairing is required to look chic in your shoes. An easy look is to wear them with slim-leg pants or skinny-fit jeans; fold up the ankle of the pants into a cuff to showcase the shoes even more. Lug-soled loafers have attitude, so be intentional about the looks you create. Pair them with a short, floaty, feminine dress for a harder edge; wear them with leggings under a short A-line skirt for a gamine look with a modern spin.
