The summer heat is here, and it’s pretty easy to just slide on your favorite pair of flip-flops. However, this may not be the best idea for footwear.
In an interview with Business Insider, Dr. Jacqueline Sutera said that when people wear flip-flops, their toes tend to over-grip, which can cause pain in their feet. And, if you wear flip-flops on a regular basis, you could develop plantar fasciitis, an inflammation at the bottom of your feet.
She mentions flip-flops should be used only for pool-side and beach occasions.
