Unfortunately, it doesn't look like our Southwest Florida Olympians are going to take home any medals. However, it does look like their Rio trips were well worth it. Several of the competitors were giving us updates of their Olympic experiences on social media.
FGCU beach volleyball player and Fort Myers native Brook Sweat has been particularly active on Instagram.

FGCU's Evita Leter and Lani Cabrera were Olympic swimmers for their nations (Suriname and Barbados, respectively) and showed up to support their fellow Eagle.

Cabrera is particularly active on Twitter and Instagram. Here, she shared a video of the Opening Ceremonies.
