Beginner Bead-Weaving – Barbara Ellis

If you find yourself drooling over patterns in the bead magazines but feel that seed beadwork is too complicated, then this is the perfect class for you. Over the course of five weeks, you will master the ins and outs of several stitches, such as Peyote, Right Angle Weave, Square, Brick, and Herringbone Stitch. You’ll turn fear into confidence as you learn the essentials of bead-weaving and understand the different types of needles, threads, and waxes. This is a beginner class and introduces the student to the world of bead-weaving, with a general outline of the stitches. Students will create a basic one or more pieces specializing in each stitch. Items may or may not be finished in class but will be given the information to finish at home.
