Earth Day at Conservancy of Southwest Florida

One of the region’s most prominent environmental organizations celebrates our green planet in Gulf Coast style. Guided nature walks lead visitors along Clam Pass Park’s boardwalk and coastal scrub for chances to spot gopher tortoises, alligators and native snakes including the eastern rat snake and southern black racer. Talks throughout the day cover regional ecology, wildlife conservation and restoration efforts. Guests can venture out on the water with a 45-minute electric boat tour along the Gordon River for a change of scenery, and sample offerings from local food trucks welcome them back in a setting designed to highlight Southwest Florida’s natural biodiversity.
