What happens when a beloved world of whimsy meets a cause that matters deeply to our community? You get Becoming Cosmopolitan: Mad About Hunger—an extraordinary evening benefiting Community Cooperative and its mission to nourish, educate, and empower Southwest Florida neighbors.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, guests are invited to join Community Cooperative at The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon for a memorable night inspired by the curious and fantastical world of Alice in Wonderland.
This year’s theme, Mad About Hunger, brings a playful sense of wonder to an issue that is anything but imaginary. Food insecurity affects individuals and families in communities across Southwest Florida, and Community Cooperative works every day to ensure neighbors have access to nutritious food and the resources they need.
Becoming Cosmopolitan is more than an evening out. It is an opportunity to invest in the work happening throughout our community.
Funds raised through the event support Community Cooperative’s programs, including Meals on Wheels of Southwest Florida, Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, Community Market on Demand, Mobile Food Pantry, Healthy School Pantry, Food Literacy in People (FLIP), and social services and education resources.
From delivering meals to homebound neighbors and bringing groceries directly into communities to helping families access resources and teaching individuals of all ages about nutrition, Community Cooperative takes a comprehensive approach to addressing hunger and strengthening our community.
Guests will experience an evening filled with Alice in Wonderland-inspired details, entertainment, community, and opportunities to support a mission that reaches far beyond a single meal.
At its heart, Becoming Cosmopolitan: Mad About Hunger is about turning generosity into impact—and bringing people together to create a Southwest Florida where our neighbors have the food, resources, and opportunity they need to thrive.
Join us for an evening that's a little curious, a little whimsical, and entirely dedicated to making a difference.
