Luxury maisons continue to expand their design lexicon, bringing their ingrained commitment to craftsmanship, style and vision to our interiors. Here, we present coveted furnishings and decor from five locally represented fashion houses.
Design Ancora Table Lamp and Vase by Gucci
One of 2024’s most buzzed-about launches, Gucci’s Design Acora collection updates Italian icons in the brand’s Rosso Ancora hue. Creative director Sabato De Sarno declared the color the new signifier for the brand’s forward-looking legacy with his inaugural Spring/Summer 2024 runway show. Gucci worked with renowned Murano glass producer Venini to reimagine the 1960 Opachi vase and FontanaArte to recreate the mixed-glass 1980 Parola table lamp. gucci.com

Les Necessaires D’Hermés Long Bench by Hermés
Part of Hermès’ collaboration with French industrial designer Philippe Nigro, the Long Bench seamlessly fits any elegant interior while providing hidden layers of functionality. Inspired by elongated, rounded pommel horses, the piece contains discrete cabinets along the front and side, storing media center accessories, magazines or shoes if placed near an entryway. In this iteration, the wooden frame is accented by solid Canaletto walnut wood legs and drawers and wrapped in the label’s supple Taurillon H leather. hermes.com

Classic Bed Trunk by Louis Vuitton
Debuted in 1868 for dapper explorers, Louis Vuitton’s updated portable bed pops out of its trunk with a memory foam-topped mattress. The two recently launched iterations include a floral-patterned styling by the artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, and one from men’s creative director, Pharrell Williams. The musician’s design comes in a distressed, striped trunk, inspired by the 1872 model, and a mattress with Williams’ favored LV Lovers embroidery. louisvuitton.com

Kompa Double Seat and Coffee Table by Fendi X Mabeo
Few fashion houses match Fendi’s range and dexterity with furnishings. And, now the maison’s interior design arm, Fendi Casa, is rumored to be coming to Naples, bringing more Italian mastery to our shores. We’re partial to their soulful 2021 ompa collection—a stunning display of cross-cultural design, blending Fendi motifs with African artistry. The Shiya Seat transforms luscious panga panga wood into a sweeping form through meticulous hand-molding, while the Efo Coffee Table turns the iconic double-F logo into the most ingenious of nesting tables. fendi.com

Planétarium Automaton by Van Cleef & Arpels
A master of automata—whimsical, animated timepieces—Van Cleef & Arpels scaled the Planétarium to accurately depict the sun and nearby planets. With its original melody by Swiss musician Michel Tirabosco and a gem-encrusted shooting star marking the hours, the nearly 2-foot-tall clock epitomizes the maison’s Extraordinary Objects collection. Precious stones—including emeralds and tourmalines for Earth and yellow sapphires and diamonds for the sun—showcase the house’s high jewelry virtuosity. vancleefarpels.com
