Artis—Naples, The Baker Museum's modernist exterior provided the perfect backdrop for our February art and design issue, where sculptural lines and dramatic angles transform into an architectural runway.
Shot against the museum's Weiss/Manfredi-designed entrance, our team played with light, shadow and the lines of the distinctive limestone facade to create a series of striking fashion moments.
From Isabel Sanchis' architectural pieces (including a top crafted from recycled plastic bottles) to an electric blue silk chiffon by Lena Erziak, each look harmonizes with the museum's geometric forms.
Photographer Omar Cruz, stylist Veronica Porras, and Gulfshore Life creative director, Scott Glick, spent from sunup to sundown exploring every angle, capturing how designer pieces—including standouts from Alaïa, Balenciaga and vintage Valentino—interact with the building's fluid lines and textured surfaces.
Step behind the scenes to see how dozens of frames and multiple wardrobe changes led to our final cover—an expressive mix of high fashion and high art in Naples' defining cultural institution.
