For our February Art + Design issue, prolific Naples sculptor Raymond Lutgert. The pioneering developer behind Park Shore learned to sculpt after retirement and created more than 200 works before his death in 2010.
Several of his monumental pieces stand at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay in Naples. Photographer Omar Cruz and stylist Veronica Porras anchored the shoot around Raymond’s work, including the 24-foot-tall Human Race seen on our cover.
Shot at dusk, the sculptures function as both backdrop and subject. Gowns by Isabel Sanchis, Lena Erziak and Anamika Khanna echo the works’ bold geometry.
