Southwest Florida isn’t just keeping pace with national wellness trends—it’s setting its own tempo. From Naples to Fort Myers and beyond, a slate of smart new concepts is redefining how locals move, recover and recharge. We’re talking advanced cryotherapy, indoor pickleball, women-only training studios and the region’s first gym devoted to mental fitness. Whether you’re investing in longevity, seeking stress relief or simply looking to shake up your self-care, these newcomers mark the next wave of wellness on the Gulfshore.
1. New and Expanded Naples and Fort Myers Med Spas Deliver Next-Level Results
In a saturated market, new med spas distinguish themselves through innovative treatments, stylish design and next-level service. A go-to for Naples’ most luminous complexions with a months-long waitlist, Erica Current recently expanded The Skin Room from a single suite to a North Naples location, with four treatment rooms and two more aestheticians. She also launched a product line with body oils and scrubs and added Sofwave, a high-tech, full-body treatment for tightening loose skin all over the body. Also in Naples, Von & Co debuted last fall, with one of the chicest, concierge-driven set-ups around. The studio, near Coastland Center, demystifies aesthetics, with everything from microneedling to Halo Laser and PRP hair restoration—plus, seven-day access and diagnostic-backed personalization. Meanwhile, Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa added its sixth Southwest Florida location, in Naples’ Park Shore neighborhood. Led by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Patrick Flaharty, the clinic blends surgical and non-invasive services, offering bigger procedures and everyday touch-ups in one setting. And in Fort Myers, VIO Med Spa opened in March, with popular treatments like NAD+ injections and RF microneedling and a membership-friendly model that makes self-care more accessible.

2. Cryotherapy Beauty Goes Clinical in Southwest Florida
The most advanced cryofacial has just landed on the Gulf Coast, delivering a refreshing reset for overtaxed skin. Advanced Aesthetic Solutions in Fort Myers is the first in Southwest Florida to offer Glacial Rx, the only FDA-cleared cryotherapy treatment that targets inflammation, redness and hyperpigmentation, using a temperature-controlled wand instead of harsh nitrogen blasts or usual ice rollers. The result? A dewy, glassy look that lasts for days—ideal for a glow-up before a gala or for soothing after a peel. For hyperpigmentation, Glacial Rx’s Freeze mode penetrates below the surface to attack age spots, sun damage and some instances of melasma, while promoting balanced, healthy skin. A spa-grade version, Glacial fx, offers a similar chill, without the pigment-correcting freezing power. It’s now available at Advanced Aesthetic Solutions, as well as Karlee Lauren Aesthetics and Mes Amies Medical Spa in Fort Myers, with Woodhouse Spa Naples set to launch the treatment this summer.

3. A Gym Just for Women in Downtown Naples
Peach by Pump makes its debut this summer near Naples’ Fifth Avenue South, introducing a women-only fitness studio to Southwest Florida’s luxury wellness scene. Designed for everyone from beginners to high-performing female athletes, the gym pairs sleek, blacked-out interiors and peach-hued backlighting with fully reflective street-facing windows for privacy without sacrificing aesthetics. Every detail is tailored for the ladies, from the equipment chosen (or custom-made) to accommodate women’s proportions—think shorter bars, better grips and machines that don’t require awkward adjusting—to the strength-focused circuit classes led by female trainers. A companion app delivers workout routines and a digital key code for 24/7 gym access. “A lot of girls from the area reached out and said, ‘This is the kind of place we’ve been waiting for,’” says GM Valerie Mederos. The vibe: no pressure, no gawking—just serious training on women’s terms.
4. Naples and Fort Myers Get a Surge of Indoor Pickleball Courts for Year-Round Play
In the de facto pickleball capital of the world, indoor play is catching up to demand, offering year-round access without the weather delays or sun exposure that can sideline even the most devoted players. Oasis Indoor Pickleball opened in January within Lely Resort’s Naples Pong, offering a no-membership option and parallel ping-pong conditioning. Later this year, Ace Pickleball Club and The Picklr will debut Naples and Fort Myers locations, each housing a dozen or more courts, open-play models, clinics and snowbird-friendly membership perks. Also in the works: locally owned The Royal Pickle is scouting for a Naples address—and if the plans hold, it may be the region’s most over-the-top pickle playground, complete with IV drips, cold plunges and courtside cocktails.

5. This Fort Myers Aquaponic Farm Represents the Future of Agriculture on the Gulf
At EFC Farms in Fort Myers, David and Alise Bartley are redefining what sustainable agriculture can be in Southwest Florida. The philanthropic couple transformed a 10-acre urban property into a closed-loop system powered by aquaponics, where fish fertilize crops, water is recycled and produce thrives without pesticides or excess irrigation. Alongside five varieties of lettuce, the farm grows hydroponic vine-ripe tomatoes, wildflower honey, fresh eggs and seasonal fruits like mangoes and bananas, all sold locally. Their mission goes beyond food, too. With the spring launch of the hurricane-hardened Bartley Education Center—powered by a generator that was bound for the Punta Gorda Airport—they’ve also created a storm shelter with air conditioning, laundry and snacks for neighbors seeking relief after a storm. In season, the sleek space hosts nonprofit events, weddings and hands-on education around sustainable food systems. This summer, the farm expanded its reach to Naples, with a hands-on kids' exhibit on local agriculture at the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples.

Tucked into a residential Fort Myers neighborhood, the Bartleys’ EFC Farms runs on aquaponics systems, designed by David. The result: pesticide-free growing and 90% less water use than traditional farming—plus goats, bees and chickens.
6. This New Fort Myers High Tea Invites Guests to Slow Down in Nature
This year, Jane’s Fruit Farm in Fort Myers introduces Tropical Tea Time, a monthly, farm-to-table high tea that blends local ingredients with a slow-living sensibility. Hosted on Jane and Kevin Farrer’s five-acre homestead near the Gateway area, the tea enhances the British tradition by tapping into nature’s healing powers with the verdant backdrop. Guests gather on an island pavilion surrounded by a lake and shaded walkways lined with avocado, soursop and banana trees. A classic, three-tier tower showcases banana cake, mango mousse and other seasonal treats that Jane makes with produce grown on site, served alongside fruit-forward blends from brands like Chicago’s Tiesta Tea. Seating is limited to groups of two or four, with reservations available on the second Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.

7. Wall-Mounted Pilates Takes Root in Fort Myers
Happy Life Movement studio brings a new kind of low-impact training to Fort Myers. All classes revolve around the studio’s eight Fuse Ladders—modular, wall-mounted systems that combine resistance springs, bars and foot slings for a vertical approach to Pilates and strength-training. The setup is ideal for people with mobility limitations, back issues or post-injury concerns that make traditional Pilates work challenging. Founder Carolyn Bell, a veteran instructor who underwent emergency spinal fusion surgery, created the studio to offer a practice that doesn’t require pushing through pain. Small group classes, tailored to each client’s mobility and strength goals, ensure every movement supports long-term wellness.

8. Fort Myers Climbs Higher with a 25,000-Square-Foot, State-of-the-Art Rock Gym
Indoor rock climbing may once have been the domain of adrenaline junkies, but today, it’s drawing wellness-minded locals looking for a smarter, more engaging way to build strength, flexibility and focus. Enter Central Rock Gym—a polished, nearly 25,000-square-foot indoor climbing facility opening this fall off Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers. With 45-foot lead and top-rope walls (the tallest indoor climbing walls in Southwest Florida), an expansive bouldering zone, and studios for Pilates, yoga and strength training, the gym makes the benefits of climbing feel accessible, safe—even elegant. Locker rooms have cold plunges and saunas for post-climb recovery, and a collaboration with Resurgence Brewing Co. next door encourages the idea of movement followed by mindful downtime. Coaching programs, gentle progressions and self-paced routes make it easy to start—no gear or ego required.

9. Southwest Florida’s First Mental Fitness Club Opens in Estero
Grounding Spot in Estero’s Coconut Point bills itself as Southwest Florida’s first “mental fitness club”—a wellness destination where IVs and hyperbaric oxygen therapy combine with life coaching, meditation and yoga to support mental resilience under one roof. “People are already that best version of themselves—we’re just helping them reconnect with who they are,” founder Frances Borshell says. While traditional therapy and medication remain essential for many, Frances sees her club as a complementary path, treating mental health like physical fitness: something to be trained and strengthened through consistent practice.
10. Golden Gate Reimagines Golf for the Community
In Golden Gate, the long-standing public golf course is being reimagined as The Gate Golf Club, set to open in spring 2026. Designed as a county-owned nonprofit venture operated in partnership with Arthrex, the course will offer discounted rates for Collier County residents and serve as the new home of First Tee–Naples/Collier, a nonprofit junior golf program, supporting youth development through the sport. The nine-hole, par-35 course, designed by pro golfers Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, will sit alongside an 18-hole putting green and the MHK Architecture-designed The Village, a campus-style facility with the First Tee headquarters, event spaces, a public restaurant and a 30-bay high-tech driving range. Youth players will tee off on parallel fairways designed for mentorship and skill-building, making The Gate Golf Club a community-first course rooted in access.
