Between busy days and late nights, I love anything that helps me look refreshed with minimal effort. While lash extensions are a popular way to achieve a perfect doe-eyed flutter, the upkeep—salon touch-ups every two to three weeks—was a deal breaker.
Enter the ultimate cheat code: a lash lift and tint. Compared to lash extensions (a $200-$250 initial cost, plus touch-ups at $60 or more), it’s less demanding on cost and upkeep ($150 for an effect that lasts six to eight weeks). While extensions have their place—they create a more dramatic look, and could be the only solution for anyone with sparse natural lashes—tints offer a softer, more natural effect. “It’s perfect for clients who want to look fresh and ready to go without daily mascara,” says Tatiana Britz, owner of TB Lashes. Brows. Beauty.
At the luxe, nine-suite studio on the corner of Pine Ridge and Livingston Roads in Naples, the team tailors each treatment, thinking of the client as a canvas, not a number. Tatiana opened her beauty hub in 2019, after completing cosmetology school and extensive training—including a hands-on session with Kardashian brow technician Kelley Baker. Since then, she’s become the area’s authority for wow brows and eyes.
During the 60-minute session, my technician, Vanessa Davila, asked about my habits and preferences: “Do you wear mascara daily? How dramatic do you want the curl to be? How dark do you prefer your lashes?” From there, she selected the right silicone rod and tint for me. I stayed still as she brushed my lashes onto the curved mold, treated them with solutions to lift and curl them, and tinted them for color.
The process was seamless, but the payoff was striking. My lashes looked longer and fuller without the clumping of mascara or the upkeep of extensions. Aftercare was refreshingly simple: Avoid water for the first 24 hours and apply castor oil nightly to maintain the lift and tint. Five weeks later, I’m still opting for less makeup, saving time in the mornings while still looking refreshed—even if I just rolled out of bed.
