Each lamp at Downtown Fort Myers’ Timeless is a one-of-one creation built from found objects (trumpet parts, glass rolling pins, vintage microscopes) by artist Steve Timcak. His fascination with machinery began in childhood, exploring the boiler room and elevator shafts of Chicago’s Fine Arts Building, where his father served as superintendent. That curiosity evolved into a distinctive craft rooted in steampunk aesthetics and Victorian engineering. Steve scours local antique shops for components, then reimagines them in his Downtown Fort Myers workshop, where he also designs handmade jewelry and sculptures. The result feels part gallery, part workshop—an ever-changing trove of functional art, perfect for the impossible-to-shop-for collector. Facebook: @timeless.steampunk
